The following is a message from ELL Teacher Rozhan Sadik
Dear Veterans,
Mr. Ellison, Mr. Green, Mr. Weisner and many others, thank you from the bottom
of my heart for your selfless service. I’m forever grateful to your bravery, kindness,
and all the sacrifices you have made to not only protect this great country, but you
also went beyond to free and liberate strangers in other lands.
Dear Mr. Ellison, I
have lately realized that one reason I had to settle in this area and specifically SMS
is to get to meet you. You served in Mosul/Iraq fighting the dictator, Saddam, when
I was in shelters just few miles away from you. I owe my life and my freedom to
you and to all the Veterans who served there. God bless you and God bless the
United States of America.
