“The SMS Concert Band went on the road last weekend for an exciting trip to Atlanta. Taking in many of the exciting spots in town, scholars explored the Georgia Aquarium and had fun at Six Flags. They also competed in the Southern Star Music Festival, a Concert band competition with bands throughout the eastern United States. Combining with a small group of Coopertown Band members, the SMS Band finished in 2nd place, capping off a great trip. The SMS Band will next be in action at their annual Spring Concert at SMS on May 7th at 7pm. Congrats SMS Band!”
