Dennis Ellison
Hello everyone, my name is Dennis Ellison; I have served in the U.S. Army for over 25 years with multiple deployments around the world. Since retiring I have pursued a career in education and now currently teach 7th Grade STEM.
I am married to Deborah (Davis). We have two sons Rick and William, a daughter Michelle and a two granddaughters Kaitlynn and Abbey. Originally from Texas we have lived in Clarksville off and on since 1995 due to deployments and the demands of the Army.
My educational background includes a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instructions in Mathematics (M.Ed), Bachelor of Science Degree Interdisciplinary Studies Concentration 4-8 Mathematics (B.S.) and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS). All my college degrees were earned at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tn.
I enjoy being creative and utilizing new ideas and approaches to improve the learning environment for my scholars. I have incorporated a variety of hands on activities, fun manipulative and learning projects to inspire and motivate each scholar. This includes the innovative integration of technology.
I am enthusiastic about empowering scholars and helping them to develop their full potential. Part of this process includes close interaction with parents to encourage participation and reinforce learning in the home while building the child's self esteem and confidence. Finally I look forward to learning and growing with all my scholars as they met or exceed all standards.
